With the advancement of touchscreen technology, many cameras now incorporate touchscreens, similar to smartphones, using either capacitive or resistive screens. Older cameras typically feature resistive screens. A key distinction between digital and traditional cameras is the inclusion of a display screen, known as a Liquid Crystal Display (LCD), which allows real-time image viewing. Most digital cameras use TFT (Thin-Film Transistor) LCDs, which consist of components like polarizing plates, glass substrates, transistors, liquid crystal materials, and backlighting. These displays rely on liquid crystal molecules to control light transmission, creating images with varying colors and contrasts. However, viewing angles can affect color accuracy, as light emitted from the screen is primarily vertical, potentially causing distortion at oblique angles.
